Field Premium Auditor (Insurance)

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work with initial in-person training and potential work-from-home time

What you will do

• Audit insured records and physical operations to determine exposure classifications, premium bases, and scopes of operation.
• Review accounting records, observe insured properties, and discuss operations with insureds.
• Report property exposures and make recommendations to Underwriting regarding eligibility, acceptability, and potential termination of coverage.
• Communicate with claims and underwriting associates, appointed agents, and insureds.
• Manage the assigned territory by scheduling and completing physical audits accurately and efficiently.
• Establish a weekly agenda of scheduled appointments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Associate in Premium Auditing (APA) designation completed or in progress; requirements may be adjusted based on education or experience.
• Ability to drive an automobile and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Driving record must comply with the company’s underwriting guidelines.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
