Internal Auditor (Insurance)

Location: Omaha, NE, United States; hybrid work is available after a period of on-site training.

What you will do

• Assist with the development and execution of the annual internal audit plan.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify key audit areas across 11 business units and 58 legal entities.
• Review business unit risk assessments and the Group Risk and Control Framework.
• Build relationships with management, identify emerging risks, and support responses to internal, external, and regulatory inquiries.
• Lead audit workstreams, coordinate activities, and track delivery against timelines and budgets.
• Analyze processes, controls, and operational risks, then prepare audit documentation, reports, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least one year of relevant experience in audit, accounting, finance, risk management, or a related area.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or CPCU certification, or active pursuit of one of these credentials.
• Knowledge of internal audit principles, methodologies, financial concepts, and accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business applications.
• Employer visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ACL data analytics tools.
• Knowledge of the COSO Internal Control Framework.
• Familiarity with the International Professional Practices Framework.
