Special Education (ICT) Teacher - Elementary School

Location: New York City, United States; onsite at hirify.global schools with travel between schools required. Employment outside a commutable distance or outside New York State is subject to review.

Salary: $70,829–$136,704 per year, determined by relevant experience, New York State certification, and KIPP network longevity.

What you will do

• Co-teach alongside a general education teacher in an inclusion classroom.
• Co-plan and deliver a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum aligned with Common Core standards.
• Adapt and modify instruction using multiple learning modalities.
• Create meaningful strategies and interventions to support student learning.
• Assess student progress, communicate results to families and colleagues, and adjust instruction.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction for students requiring additional support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• New York State Special Education teacher certification is highly recommended.
• At least two years of teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented school environment.
• Demonstrated success in improving student achievement within hirify.global communities.
• Must remain within a commutable distance of NYC or notify HR about relocation; the role does not provide visa sponsorship or work authorization.
