Plant Engineering Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the Maintenance Department and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment, utilities, systems, and facilities.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment, and support equipment upgrades and installations.
• Manage building and grounds infrastructure, fire safety responsibilities, regulatory compliance, and environmental programs.
• Oversee hazardous waste storage, documentation, shipments, permits, sampling, and environmental reporting.
• Lead maintenance personnel and contractors through coaching, training, performance management, and development.
• Support capital planning, equipment selection, facility modifications, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of manufacturing management experience with demonstrated team leadership and operational decision-making.
• Strong experience in manufacturing operations, maintenance management, facility infrastructure, utilities, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance.
• Environmental certification in RCRA and DOT hazardous waste compliance, with knowledge of permitting, handling, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, equipment specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, supported by strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and collaboration skills.

• Experience with PLCs, CNC equipment, robotics, HMI systems, and automation technologies.
