Sr. Principal Plating Engineer (MEMS R&D)

What you will do

• Define and execute technology roadmaps for advanced electroplating processes, materials, and metallurgical innovations supporting MEMS probe fabrication.
• Lead research, evaluation, and implementation of electrodeposition, electroless deposition, and novel materials technologies.
• Design complex Design of Experiments and develop, characterize, document, and scale processes for next-generation vertical probes.
• Establish process windows, operating specifications, monitoring methods, and control strategies for robust manufacturing.
• Perform materials characterization using SEM, EDS/EDAX, FIB, microscopy, and related analytical techniques.
• Lead root-cause investigations, improve yield and process capability, and collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, equipment, and product teams.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Expertise in electrochemistry, electroplating, electroless plating, metallurgy, and materials engineering.
• Experience with semiconductor development, semiconductor fabrication, and process integration.
• Experience with electron microscopy and advanced materials analysis.
• Ability to lead complex technical investigations, develop process controls, and present recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders.
