Staff Foundry Yield Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite position.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 per year for California residents.

What you will do

• Drive yield performance across MOSFET foundries supporting discrete and IC products.
• Develop yield-improvement benchmarking capabilities and enable a yield dashboard.
• Ensure reliable transitions and production ramps after R&D or foundry transfers into high-volume manufacturing.
• Reduce foundry non-conformances and drive their closure.
• Support yield enhancement and capacity increases through new process and equipment qualification.
• Support internal and customer foundry audits when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of related semiconductor process engineering experience, preferably in a semiconductor fab or foundry.
• Experience working with R&D and foundry operations.
• Experience managing SPC, control plans, and FMEA.
• Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor devices, wafer processing, statistical data analysis, and control methods.
• Spoken and written English required; collaboration with international teams is expected.

Nice to have

• Process integration experience for discrete and IC-based MOSFETs.
• Experience with Spotfire or Extensio.
