Associate Principal, Business Analysis (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid work environment with up to 2 days per week of remote work

Salary: $99,800–$153,000 annually, plus an 8%–15% target discretionary incentive range.

The Options Clearing Corporation (hirify.global) is a financial market utility providing clearing and settlement services for options, futures, securities lending transactions, exchanges, and trading platforms.

What you will do

• Partner with business and technology teams to analyze stakeholder needs and define solutions.
• Identify current-state and future-state gaps, missing requirements, dependencies, risks, and scope issues.
• Perform requirements analysis, story decomposition, system integration analysis, and data flow design.
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria, support backlog refinement, and participate in sprint planning and other agile activities.
• Advise the Product Owner and provide requirements and design support to the scrum team, including UI/UX requirements.
• Support test plans, test cases, test verification, cross-team collaboration, and enterprise analysis documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field.
• Experience with Agile and software development, including requirements elicitation, solution evaluation, gap analysis, and requirements decomposition.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and process modeling tools such as Draw.io or Visio.
• Knowledge of event-driven applications, streaming and batch analytics, data management and visualization tools, SQL, Figma, Tableau, Business Objects, Python, and R.
• Bachelor’s degree and the ability to work flexibly with remote teams in alternate time zones.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Business experience in clearinghouse activities.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience with AWS.
• CCBA, CBAP, AAC, MBA, or MS degree.
• Experience with end-user tools and services, including dependency and integration risk assessment.
