Assistant Superintendent (Construction)

Location: Arvada, Colorado, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and direct field construction activities through successful project completion.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, supervisors, and design professionals to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
• Recruit, train, direct, and coordinate field construction teams and subcontractor work.
• Maintain CPM schedules, plan material and tool allocations, and manage project reporting, work orders, time sheets, and invoice approvals.
• Set quality control standards, review drawings and specifications, and verify subcontractor insurance certificates.
• Coordinate safety training, pre-job conferences, subcontractor meetings, start-up testing, punch lists, final close-out, and owner acceptance.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including 2–4 years as a general foreman.
• Extensive field construction experience in a supervisory role.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification, or ability to obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active certification.
• Working knowledge of construction trades and specifications, with foreman or journeyman experience in at least one trade, or project engineer experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency.
