Procurement Specialist (Metal Recycling)

Location: 785 E M St, Colton, California, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: USD 72,000–79,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for parts, equipment, maintenance supplies, services, and operational materials.
• Source suppliers, issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and prepare and manage purchase orders.
• Track and expedite deliveries, coordinate receiving and stock transfers, and process vendor returns.
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain minimum and maximum stock thresholds, and conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Update Maximo inventory transactions, investigate discrepancies, and ensure critical spare parts remain available for plant operations.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Asset Management, and vendors on forecasting, supplier performance, cost reduction, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in inventory, purchasing, or materials management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience managing inventory counts, reorder points, and purchase orders in a high-volume parts environment.
• Working knowledge of inventory systems; Maximo experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Excel.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, independent prioritization, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
