Maternal Child Clinical Nursing Instructor (Part-Time)

Location: Great Falls, Montana, USA. Clinical instruction takes place in an inpatient healthcare center on a Labor & Delivery unit. Typically scheduled for 2–3 consecutive 12-hour shifts over 1–2 weeks during each 8-week session.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Teach and supervise nursing students providing care to individuals or groups in clinical settings.
• Plan clinical experiences and assignments aligned with student competencies and learning needs.
• Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback, remediation, and academic support.
• Maintain knowledge of agency and clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Coordinate with course coordinators, administrators, agency staff, and faculty on student and clinical issues.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, retention initiatives, and program improvement.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of nursing practice experience within the last 5 years as a registered nurse.
• Professional nurse licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative, and prudent judgment.
• Ability to teach maternal and child nursing, including Labor & Delivery, newborn care, wellness, high-risk factors, and complications.
