Managing Consultant - Architecture within Consumer and Manufacturing (Financial Services)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office or on client site, and up to 5 days per week on client site depending on the assignment.

• Help shape and launch new architecture service propositions while supporting strategic business growth.
• Lead business development initiatives, including client engagement, pre-sales, and proposal development.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and advise FTSE 100 clients on complex challenges.
• Shape and communicate architectural strategies across application, business, and integration domains.
• Lead architecture and development teams delivering impactful end-to-end solutions.
• Coach team members, share knowledge, and create opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Experience leading architecture and development teams and delivering end-to-end solutions for complex client challenges.
• Strong understanding of the Consumer and Manufacturing sector, with experience in banking, insurance, payments, or wealth management.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and translate technical insight into business value.
• Demonstrated business development experience, including pre-sales, proposals, and client engagement.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and modelling tools such as UML and ArchiMate.
• Established senior stakeholder network in financial services and the ability to develop long-term client partnerships.

Nice to have

• Awareness of emerging technologies and trends.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM, Oracle, or Salesforce.
• Experience with microservices, packaged solutions, cloud-native architectures, cloud and on-premise models, agile delivery, digital transformation, or IoT.
