Senior Capital Project Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: TAI plant, Tai Pei, Changhua County, Taiwan; regular presence in operating units and construction areas is required.

What you will do

• Lead capital projects through concept development, front-end studies, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Own planning, prioritization, execution, and governance of the TAI plant’s annual and long-range capital project portfolio.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, EHS, quality, supply chain, finance, corporate engineering, and site leadership.
• Manage capital budgets, cost estimates, forecasts, schedules, risks, contracts, vendors, and project reporting.
• Provide technical oversight for design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability assessments, pre-startup safety reviews, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Build project execution capability by mentoring project engineers, construction managers, and other capital project team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or another related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of capital project management experience in chemical, petrochemical, or related process industries.
• Experience delivering multi-million-dollar capital projects in operating plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process systems, unit operations, process safety management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with engineering design, construction management, commissioning, startup, project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Ability to work at the TAI plant, wear required PPE, comply with site safety protocols, and occasionally travel to engineering partners, vendors, or corporate offices.

Nice to have

• PMP or PE certification.
• Strong knowledge of materials management, procurement, receiving, warehousing, and goods receipt processes.
• Experience with the SAP Project Module and other SAP transactions.
• Site project leadership experience and ability to support cross-region or overseas projects.
