Senior Superintendent - K-14 (DSA)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; full-time role with travel and supervision of multiple projects across a large geographic area as required.

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Supervise construction projects and coordinate field construction teams, subcontractors, and direct-hire work.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in safety training, and verify subcontractor insurance certificates.
• Prepare and maintain CPM schedules, coordinate planning and material procurement, and support cost control.
• Set quality-control standards, review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals, and manage punchlists.
• Lead pre-job conferences and subcontractor meetings, develop Owner and Architect confidence, and coordinate project communications.
• Perform start-up testing, turnover, final close-out documentation, and obtain Owner acceptance.

Requirements

• Project experience working on K-14 projects under DSA is required.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Superintendent, with extensive supervisory-level field construction experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification, or ability to obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active certification.
• Working knowledge of all construction crafts, specifications, OSHA laws, scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Prior experience as a foreman, journeyman in at least one trade, or project engineer, along with problem-solving ability and a strong sense of urgency.
