Location: Amherst, Virginia, USA; onsite

Salary: $91,200–$175,000 per year for Zone C; other U.S. salary zones range from $100,300–$192,500 and $109,400–$210,000. The role is also eligible for participation in incentive plans.

What you will do

  • Lead employee engagement, talent strategy, recruiting, retention, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and HR policy execution for the plant.
  • Advise plant leadership on organizational policies, workforce planning, talent needs, and non-production recruiting.
  • Manage employee relations, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, discipline, and terminations.
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for production workers, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and employment forecasting.
  • Maintain workforce records, analyze hiring, turnover, and absenteeism data, and recommend improvements.
  • Design employee learning and development programs and supervise HR staff.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of human resource management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, conflict resolution, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.

Nice to have

  • Professional certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP.
