Drywall & Acoustical Estimator (Construction)

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Review construction scopes, drawings, specifications, contract requirements, schedules, logistics, and pricing details.
• Survey drawings, organize quantity take-offs, quantify materials, and produce construction assemblies.
• Prepare bid proposals, proposal letters, qualifications, clarifications, and complete bid submissions.
• Manage supplier and subcontractor bid invitations, follow up on pricing, and support subcontractor recommendations and buyouts.
• Coordinate with the bid team and provide technical assistance to project managers during contract and change-order negotiations.
• Deliver complete estimating information to project management and assist with project kickoff meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least three years of experience in construction or a related field.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices, estimating documents, and estimation metrics.
• Strong organization, communication, negotiation, attention to detail, and accuracy skills.
• Ability to work with limited information, understand owner and architect requirements, and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with estimating software.
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.
• Familiarity with construction project management software.
• Knowledge of research methodology and data analysis.
