Estimator I (Architectural Metals)

Location: Monett, Missouri, United States; primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor

What you will do

• Prepare cost estimates, formal quotes, bids, and related documents for standard architectural metal projects.
• Review customer requests for quotation, identify incomplete information and risks, and escalate non-standard requests.
• Maintain and revise quote cost data and records as project conditions and pricing factors change.
• Learn aluminum extrusions, hardware, glass types, system depths, product limitations, and manufacturing practices.
• Obtain standard buyout-material quotes from outside suppliers and manage multiple quotations accurately.
• Use pricing and structural engineering tools to assess product, structural, thermal, and installation requirements.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of estimating or closely related manufacturing or construction experience.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, data analysis, mathematical, and critical-thinking skills.
• High professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an office and occasionally visit the manufacturing floor with proper PPE.
• Ability to lift or move 10 pounds.
• Two-year technical degree or related experience preferred.
