What you will do
- Prepare cost estimates, formal quotes, bids, and related documents for standard architectural metal projects.
- Review customer requests for quotation, identify incomplete information and risks, and escalate non-standard requests.
- Maintain and revise quote cost data and records as project conditions and pricing factors change.
- Learn aluminum extrusions, hardware, glass types, system depths, product limitations, and manufacturing practices.
- Obtain standard buyout-material quotes from outside suppliers and manage multiple quotations accurately.
- Use pricing and structural engineering tools to assess product, structural, thermal, and installation requirements.
Requirements
- 1β5 years of estimating or closely related manufacturing or construction experience.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, data analysis, mathematical, and critical-thinking skills.
- High professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an office and occasionally visit the manufacturing floor with proper PPE.
- Ability to lift or move 10 pounds.
- Two-year technical degree or related experience preferred.
