Estimator

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States; mostly office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor and occasional travel to other sites or corporate locations.

What you will do

• Prepare cost estimates, formal quotes, bids, and related documents for standard projects.
• Review customer requests for quotation, identify incomplete information and risks, and escalate non-standard requests.
• Support the estimating team with data entry, quote formatting, and document preparation.
• Maintain and revise quote cost data and records as project conditions and methods change.
• Obtain quotes from outside suppliers for standard buyout materials.
• Learn product limitations, structural and thermal requirements, anchoring requirements, manufacturing practices, and pricing processes.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of estimating or closely related manufacturing or construction experience.
• A 2-year technical degree or related experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, data analysis, mathematical, and numeracy skills.
• Professionalism, self-motivation, multitasking ability, attention to detail, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously with accuracy and learn internal pricing systems.
• Ability to work mostly in an office, occasionally visit the manufacturing floor with proper PPE, travel occasionally, and lift or move 10 pounds.
