Production Supervisor

Location: Elmwood Park, NJ, USA; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Lead shop-floor employees and ensure safety, productivity, quality, and policy compliance.
• Coach, mentor, train, motivate, and provide feedback to employees while maintaining behavior documentation.
• Teach lean concepts, establish a 5S culture, and champion continuous improvement events and Gemba walks.
• Optimize manpower and equipment allocation, manage coverage exceptions, and monitor time, attendance, and overtime.
• Investigate safety, quality, and productivity issues; track KPIs and drive corrective improvements.
• Manage production against takt time, WIP quantities, shared resources, and master production schedule commitments.

Requirements

• Previous supervisor experience is required.
• Strong communication, leadership, delegation, motivation, and team-building skills.
• Critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, mathematical, planning, and prioritization abilities.
• Lean or Six Sigma training or experience.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and using office tools for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and travel occasionally by car, train, or plane if required.

• College education.
• Experience with MS Office and ERP systems.
