Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead, supervise, coach, train, and develop production employees while managing assignments, schedules, overtime, performance, and engagement.
• Coordinate daily fabrication, assembly, material handling, inventory, and production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
• Monitor production performance, labor utilization, downtime, scrap, equipment use, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate production flow and maintenance activities with planning, quality, warehouse, shipping, and other departments.
• Promote OSHA compliance, conduct safety observations and incident investigations, and address hazardous conditions and unsafe behavior.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, root-cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of manufacturing experience, including at least two years in a lead, trainer, or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, workforce management, ISO 9001 QMS, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret production schedules, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation, with strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production reporting systems, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction and able to work onsite for 10–12-hour shifts in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Seven or more years of progressive manufacturing experience or experience supervising multiple production lines, shifts, or departments.
• Experience in fabrication, wire rope, cable, metals, industrial, or heavy manufacturing.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification.
• Experience with JD Edwards or SAP, forklift certification, and material handling equipment.
