Recruiter

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; on-site

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year, plus potential monthly incentive.

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle recruiting in partnership with hiring managers, from staffing needs analysis through offer negotiation and start-date coordination.
• Develop and post job advertisements across job boards, trade groups, professional organizations, newspapers, and other sources.
• Source and screen candidates, conduct phone screens and assessments, and provide feedback to hiring managers.
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, drug screens, reference checks, orientations, and onboarding.
• Maintain the Workable applicant tracking system and related recruiting records.
• Build relationships with trade schools, employment agencies, vendors, and other candidate sources while improving recruitment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of related recruiting experience across positions from entry level to senior level.
• Experience recruiting for apprentice and labor roles; home improvement industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems, preferably Workable, and texting recruitment tools such as Text Recruit, TextUs, or ICIMS.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills with attention to detail and urgency.
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Recruiting experience in the home improvement industry.
• Experience working with trade schools, state and county employment agencies, and temporary or contract placement.
