Senior Virtual Construction Engineer (BIM)

Location: Vienna, Virginia, United States; full-time, on-site role

What you will do

• Provide leadership to the Virtual Construction team and oversee Field Engineer and Model Administrator responsibilities on assigned projects.
• Collect, manage, and document project, field, software, and virtual construction information.
• Manage asset creation and ensure project information is accurately maintained in virtual construction systems.
• Support corporate and regional marketing teams with 3D documentation efforts.
• Lead training for Virtual Construction personnel on software, processes, and BIM environments.
• Mentor and guide Virtual Construction team members and potentially supervise a Virtual Construction Specialist.

Requirements

• Teaching proficiency with BIM and 3D modeling software, including Trimble RealWorks, ReCap, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks Manage, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Working knowledge of 360 Glue or comparable parametric, fabrication, or coordination tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture; a Construction Management Certificate Program or equivalent education and experience is also acceptable.
• At least five years of project engineering experience, preferably in the commercial construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction terminology, commercial building design and construction, plans, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, independent judgment, prioritization, drafting, computer, creativity, and efficiency skills.
