BIM Designer (MEP)

What you will do

• Create and modify 3D BIM models for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems using Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, and other BIM tools.
• Coordinate models with project managers, engineers, and other trades to identify and resolve clashes using Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Generate construction documents, shop drawings, and as-built models from BIM data.
• Follow project-specific BIM Execution Plans, internal modeling standards, and Level of Development requirements.
• Perform basic quantity take-offs and assist with bills of materials.
• Support field teams with coordinated model information and layout points for robotic total station use.

Requirements

• Basic proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP is required.
• Understanding of building systems, including mechanical ductwork, piping, electrical layouts, or plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, reliability, and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work at a computer in a seated or standing position for 8 hours per day.
• An associate degree or higher in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field is a plus.

Nice to have

• Internship or academic project experience in MEP or BIM modeling.
• Familiarity with clash detection tools such as Navisworks Manage.
• Exposure to fabrication-level detailing or coordination meetings.
