CAD Specialist I (AutoCAD Civil 3D)

Location: Remote, Bloomington, MN

Salary: $50,000.00–$74,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Prepare general site sketches, soil boring and sample location maps, and basic geologic cross sections.
• Create construction diagrams, well diagrams, residential layouts, excavation bottoms, and oversizing drawings.
• Produce surface and groundwater contour maps using point data and Civil 3D surfaces.
• Assemble and organize supplied drawing files to support efficient updates when source data changes.
• Work independently on assignments from the CAD Manager while applying drafting standards and practices.
• Clarify drawing requests and obtain additional materials from the CAD Manager, Project Manager, or field technician.

Requirements

• Technical college degree, associate degree, or equivalent qualification.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D commands and workflows.
• Knowledge of multi-tab drawings, layer display attributes, multiple viewports, coordinate systems, and point data import.
• Ability to modify Civil 3D styles and create simple surfaces for contours.
• Effective communication and ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• General knowledge of ArcGIS, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
