CAD Technician II (AutoCAD)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, Ohio or Dayton, Ohio

Salary: $54,351–$89,384 per year. Typical new-hire pay range: $57,370–$66,771 per year in either Columbus or Dayton.

What you will do

• Prepare and revise detailed scale drawings for complex survey projects using field data, preliminary concepts, sketches, design guidelines, and research.
• Create 2-D and 3-D maps, drawings, exhibits, legal descriptions, and survey records in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Interpret survey field data, courthouse records, utility research, deed information, 3-D surfaces, and feature and line coding.
• Revise redline markups and ensure drawings comply with company CAD standards.
• Support project budgets and deadlines and report software, hardware, and printing needs.
• Assist with boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, and other field and office surveying activities as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field plus at least 2 years of related experience and/or training; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus at least 4 years of related experience and/or training.
• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of survey terminology, procedures, drawings, deliverables, utility research, deed information, and basic legal descriptions.
• Computer skills for daily timesheet entry and email correspondence in Microsoft Outlook.
• NSPS CST Level 1 is preferred.
