Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Governance Officer

What you will do

• Administer the enterprise AI risk governance framework, including policies, standards, procedures, workflows, and governance records.
• Coordinate intake, assessment, classification, approval, and lifecycle oversight for AI and machine learning use cases.
• Serve as coordinator for the AI Working Group by preparing agendas, decision logs, action tracking, and meeting materials.
• Maintain the enterprise AI use-case inventory and develop reporting and dashboards covering approvals, issues, compliance, and emerging risks.
• Support the Model Risk team by evaluating model risk, participating in model approvals and issue closures, and enhancing validation and documentation practices.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations, audits, independent reviews, and cross-functional work across Risk, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and business teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, law, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is also relevant.
• 8–12 years of experience in a financial institution or consulting environment with exposure to AI governance.
• 3–5 years of experience evaluating or governing AI/ML use cases across pre-implementation assessment, control design, and post-deployment monitoring.
• Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or decision-support systems and risks including bias, explainability, data dependency, and automation risk.
• Experience supporting or interacting with internal audit, regulators, or independent model review functions.
• Ability to work on site in Independence, Ohio.

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
• Certified Third-Party Risk Professional (CTPRP).
• Relevant AI governance certifications.
