Director, Artificial Intelligence Policy and Risk Governance (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Southlake, Texas or Austin, Texas; four days in-office and one day working from home. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the listed areas.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive the enterprise AI risk management roadmap, workplans, stakeholder engagement, and execution.
• Maintain AI risk policies, standards, procedures, guidance, governance documentation, and change management plans.
• Coordinate with AI owners and reviewers, risk, technology, cybersecurity, compliance, data, operational risk, and business stakeholders.
• Assess regulatory guidance, audit findings, industry practices, and emerging AI risks to identify program improvements.
• Lead self-assessments, gap analyses, issue remediation, adherence monitoring, training, communications, and awareness activities.
• Lead the AI Risk Working Group, prepare materials for governance committees and senior management, and produce audit- and regulator-ready evidence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of AI development, implementation, monitoring, governance, and risk management.
• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit, regulatory, or enterprise program management within a complex organization.
• Understanding of risk frameworks, controls, policy governance, issue management, and program oversight.
• Strong written communication, stakeholder coordination, ownership, and prioritization skills.
• Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or risk, project/program management, audit, or related certification.
• Experience with model, technology, cybersecurity, data, operational, compliance, or enterprise risk management.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, SR 11-7, SR 26-2, the EU AI Act, FHFA guidance, or Financial Stability Board guidance.
• Experience in financial services, banking, brokerage, or another highly regulated industry.
