Maintenance Reliability Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Faribault, Minnesota, United States. Full-time, primarily on-site in both office and plant-floor environments; first-shift Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility for off-shift work, weekends, and planned shutdowns.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of maintenance work orders in the CMMS, from creation and prioritization through scheduling, tracking, review, and closure.
• Develop detailed job plans covering scope, task sequencing, labor, materials, tools, documentation, and safety requirements.
• Build, implement, and improve preventive maintenance programs while tracking PM completion and effectiveness.
• Coordinate weekly maintenance schedules with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams during production changeovers, outages, and planned downtime.
• Manage spare parts inventory, stocking levels, reorder points, purchasing records, vendor quotations, contractors, and deliveries.
• Generate maintenance performance reports and drive proactive reliability practices using standard work, 6S, and visual management.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, coordination, parts-room administration, or industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with CMMS systems such as eMaint or iMaint, work order management, preventive maintenance, and inventory control.
• Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, planning processes, and equipment reliability concepts.
• Experience managing spare parts inventory and procurement processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; strong analytical, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently in an office and plant-floor environment, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and minimal travel.

Nice to have

• Hands-on ERP experience with SAP, Epicor, or an equivalent system.
• Additional manufacturing environment experience.
