Senior Full Stack Developer (Java)

Location: Sterling, Virginia, United States; active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access and FS/Poly required.

Salary: $130,000–$225,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build Mission Management web applications for the Intelligence Community using cloud-based microservices architecture.
• Develop backend services with Java, JEE, and REST web services, and contribute to frontend development.
• Define, design, and implement features with cross-functional teams, system engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Write detailed specifications, software code, unit tests, and integration tests while supporting formal testing.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, Agile development, and the evolution of the application architecture and technology stack.
• Maintain technical knowledge of application changes and contribute to user training manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong Java skills, including JEE and REST web services.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, plus familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience designing and developing Java microservice applications and interfaces.
• Active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access and FS/Poly is required; no exceptions.

Nice to have

• Spring Boot and Spring Framework experience.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Redis, and AWS S3-compliant object stores.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Git and Jenkins.
• Experience developing secure RESTful services integrated with Keycloak and LDAP.
