HVAC Controls Technician

Location: Knoxville, TN, United States; full-time service work in a specified territory with travel as needed for projects.

Pay: Starting pay depends on experience; service bonus program.

What you will do

• Perform HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs in commercial and industrial settings.
• Install conduit, pull wire, and terminate controls using controls drawings.
• Read controls drawings and complete installation and troubleshooting of Building Automation Systems.
• Diagnose breakdowns, test components with appropriate instruments, and repair associated equipment.
• Complete daily electronic service documentation using an iPhone, iPad, or computer.
• Operate a company vehicle to complete service calls and coordinate with company and customer agencies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with HVAC controls or commercial HVAC service.
• Electrical experience and mechanical aptitude; willingness to learn HVAC controls.
• Tridium N4 certification or the ability to obtain it.
• English skills are required. Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also required.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety policies, travel as needed, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, motor vehicle record check, and physical capacity test.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems and their operation.
• Advanced computer coding skills.
• Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, drawings, and equipment layout materials.
