Vice President, Critical Operations (Data Center)

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL; Dallas, TX; Chicago, IL. Full-time, on-site role with up to 30% travel. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation: $280,368–$310,608 per year.

What you will do

• Lead campus-wide safety, reliability, operational excellence, and mission-critical infrastructure performance.
• Direct preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, and base building systems.
• Own the campus P&L, operating and capital budgets, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Serve as executive client sponsor and lead contract, SLA, and executive client meeting governance.
• Manage risk, vendors, contractors, and a technical data center operations organization.
• Drive long-term campus value creation and customer satisfaction while maintaining service availability.

Requirements

• Executive leadership experience in mission-critical environments and 10+ years of data center facilities operations and maintenance experience.
• 5–10 years of leadership experience in data center operations, including supervision of technical operations staff.
• Deep expertise in data center infrastructure, including UPS, generators, transformers, PDUs, RPPs, chillers, CDUs, air handlers, STS, ATS, and pre-action systems.
• Experience managing large-scale operations, multi-million-dollar budgets, P&L, design, construction, commissioning, contractors, vendors, customer contracts, and SLAs.
• Expert knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, NFPA 101, fire and life safety compliance, building codes, data center trending, and analysis.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a comprehensive background and drug screening.
