Wet Laboratory Technician (Chemistry)

Location: Onsite in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada; afternoon, overnight, and weekend shifts required

Salary: Starting at CAD 20.50 per hour

What you will do

• Perform decomposition and leaching procedures, including acid digests, selective leaches, and fusions, according to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare basic reagents and clean laboratory glassware and work areas.
• Calibrate and adjust dispensers, pipettes, balances, and other laboratory equipment.
• Complete work-order documentation and enter quality-control results into SLIMS.
• Maintain equipment, consumables, records, notebooks, and maintenance logs.
• Report procedural issues, damaged equipment, depleted consumables, and other laboratory concerns to supervisors or group leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; chemistry-related degree, diploma, or equivalent preferred.
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent experience gained through education.
• Ability to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Authorization to work in Canada is required.
• Availability for afternoon, overnight, and weekend shifts is required.
