QC Technician (Chemistry)

Location: Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, United States; onsite work in the plant process area is required.

What you will do

• Provide analytical and environmental chemistry support for the Port Neal Complex.
• Complete and document routine water, process, and product analyses accurately and on schedule.
• Conduct non-routine analyses to diagnose plant problems and support troubleshooting.
• Verify that product shipments meet required specifications.
• Follow laboratory procedures and government guidelines while promoting safe operating practices.
• Maintain effective communication with the laboratory and other plant departments.

Requirements

• Experience in a laboratory setting and the ability to perform chemical analyses using approved methods and professional techniques.
• A bachelor's degree in chemistry, science, or a related field is preferred.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional additional hours.
• Ability to work in the plant process area.
• Technical competence, sound judgment, initiative, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
