Laboratory Technician, Wet Chemistry

Location: 145 Konrad Crescent, Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite full-time

Salary: CAD 23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare samples, reagents, test solutions, standard solutions and volumetric solutions.
• Perform routine wet chemistry and physicochemical testing, including appearance, pH, specific gravity, TOC, conductivity, UV, FTIR, LOD and ROI.
• Execute testing in accordance with approved methods, SOPs, cGMP guidelines, QA procedures and change-control requirements.
• Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment and instruments according to established procedures.
• Complete work-order documentation and enter results into the electronic Laboratory Information System or the client’s Certificate of Analysis.
• Plan daily work, maintain records and inventory, support failure investigations, and communicate progress or issues to laboratory leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 0–1 year of demonstrated experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to follow approved analytical methods, SOPs, QA manuals and cGMP requirements.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, enter data promptly and complete documentation.
• Candidates for Canadian openings must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to work onsite in Markham on a full-time basis.
