Senior Claims Professional (Workers Compensation)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States; hybrid workplace with work from home available up to 2 days per week

What you will do

• Manage large and complex workers' compensation claims with an outcome-based and resolution-focused approach.
• Support injured workers through medical treatment, recovery, and early, safe return to work while communicating with workers and employers.
• Make compensability determinations, authorize benefits, calculate payments, and ensure compliance with legal requirements, notices, and filings.
• Maintain accurate reserves, prepare settlement recommendations, and negotiate claim settlements.
• Manage litigation, defense attorneys, vendors, providers, vocational rehabilitation plans, and internal service partners.
• Identify fraud and handle technical claim matters including Medicare Set-Asides, Structured Settlements, and Part B issues.

Requirements

• At least five years of indemnity adjusting experience managing large and/or complex workers' compensation claims and accounts.
• Licensed to adjust workers' compensation claims in one or more jurisdictions.
• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn claims systems, databases, and vendor software.
• Ability to work independently under minimal direction and take ownership of work product.
