Claims Advocate - P&C

Location: Los Angeles or Newport Beach, California; in-office two days per week

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 annual base pay, excluding bonuses and benefits

What you will do

• Assist clients with reporting Property & Casualty claims and determine applicable coverage under insurance policies.
• Coordinate between clients, insurers, adjusters, attorneys, claimants, producers, and internal stakeholders to support timely claim resolution.
• Resolve coverage issues, negotiate settlements, review summons and complaints, and ensure appropriate carrier reporting.
• Establish and maintain claim files, document claim activity, and manage correspondence in agency management systems.
• Monitor claims through satisfactory conclusion and participate in carrier claim reviews with clients.
• Identify service, coverage, and potential safety concerns and communicate them to account managers, producers, and Loss Control.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Property & Casualty claims experience with a broker, insurance carrier, or third-party administrator.
• Knowledge of Property & Casualty coverage forms, claims processes, and industry practices.
• Valid P&C broker license.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, judgment, and multitasking skills.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, handle sensitive situations, and collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
