VN Instructor (Nursing Education)

Location: Sacramento, California, USA; campus-based, full-time position

Salary: USD 95,000–110,000 per year

What you will do

• Teach lecture content and clinical rotations in the LVN program, including weekday, evening, and weekend sessions.
• Mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Improve instruction through innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, student files, and clinical requirement records.
• Submit program reports, participate in professional development and committees, and stay current with nursing practice, technology, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Current RN or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state where teaching is performed.
• Either three years of bedside experience with RN/BSN or six years of bedside experience with LVN/Associate degree.
• Current knowledge and experience in a clinical nursing setting.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Prior teaching experience is not required.

Nice to have

• Current immunizations.
• Basic Life Support or ACLS certification.
