Trade Compliance Manager

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $118,125–$173,250 per year, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Trade Compliance Analysts while allocating resources and prioritizing compliance activities.
• Oversee import/export filings, record-keeping, post-entry corrections, shipment documentation, and day-to-day customs compliance.
• Supervise HTS, Schedule B, HSC, and ECCN classification and obtain import/export licenses when required.
• Develop compliance metrics, support internal audits, identify duty drawback opportunities, and lead corrective action plans.
• Drive process improvements and tariff and freight cost optimization across multinational supply chain operations.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal and act as the escalation point for complex compliance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in trade compliance, freight forwarding, ocean or air logistics, or international transportation.
• 0–3+ years of experience leading and mentoring employees, with proven team management and compliance initiative leadership.
• Hands-on experience with global import/export activities and customs compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• CCS or CES certification.
• Customs Broker License or willingness to obtain one.
• Power BI experience.
• Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Dutch, French, or Spanish language skills.
