Sr. Trade and Customs Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based in Deerfield, Illinois, United States

Salary: $76,000–$104,500 annually

What you will do

• Support daily import and export operations and compliant cross-border movement of products and materials.
• Monitor customs clearances, resolve shipment delays, and coordinate with brokers and logistics providers.
• Prepare and review customs declarations, tariff classifications, valuations, and country-of-origin determinations.
• Support CTPAT, Importer Self-Assessment, Foreign Trade Zone, and Free Trade Agreement programs.
• Conduct post-entry reviews, compliance testing, audits, self-assessments, and corrective actions.
• Analyze trade data, duty spend, broker performance, and compliance trends to improve operations and reduce risk.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in global trade, customs compliance, import/export operations, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, entry processes, HTS classification, customs valuation, country of origin, and duty mitigation.
• Experience with CTPAT, ISA, FTZ, FTA programs, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
• Experience using BI Publisher and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Licensed Customs Broker certification.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with SAP, JDE, GME, ACE, or other trade management systems.
• Knowledge of export controls, sanctions compliance, and denied party screening.
