Planning Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and decisions.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering equipment lead times, construction, permitting, co-activity, commissioning, and start-up.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and critical-path issues, and propose solutions to optimize project timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, project stakeholders, and Operations to resolve roadblocks and maintain schedule alignment.
• Prepare three-week look-ahead schedules, status updates, corrective-action recommendations, and project documentation.
• Develop commissioning and start-up schedules, including resource identification, while incorporating HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of project-planning experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of industrial processes, equipment, construction methodologies, and project schedule management from inception to completion.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall in industrial settings.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
