EPC Electrical Superintendent (Solar)

Location: Plymouth, North Carolina, United States; on-site field work with travel as required

Salary: $107,757–$140,084 per year

What you will do

• Supervise electrical field operations and coordinate construction activities for utility-scale solar projects.
• Manage project schedules, planning, expediting, cost control, documentation, and close-out activities.
• Lead electrical subcontractors, testing agencies, commissioning teams, and multiple field crews.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and work orders.
• Enforce safety, quality, Lockout/Tagout, OSHA, and electrical standards throughout project execution.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, procurement, site resources, owners, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and civil and mechanical teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of supervisory field construction experience with extensive electrical construction experience; 10 years is preferred.
• At least 5 years of utility-scale solar construction experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, NEC, and IEEE standards and codes.
• Experience with PV solar systems, DC cable systems, underground electrical installations, inverter skids, cable pulling, terminations, testing, and commissioning.
• STSC certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
• Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with medium-voltage testing and terminations.
• Experience with SCADA systems in solar or electrical applications.
