Senior Engineer, Commissioning (Hybrid Schedule)

Location: Hooksett, New Hampshire, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Salary: $129,450–$143,830 annually, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans and procedures for complex transmission and distribution substation projects.
• Commission substation equipment, including breakers, transformers, controls, systems, relays, and metering.
• Coordinate with System Test, Protection & Controls Engineering, and other engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable project delivery.
• Perform root-cause analysis of commissioning issues and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate system failures and support operations with resolutions for unplanned maintenance.
• Supervise, coach, develop, assign, and review the work of engineers and other staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of utility transmission or distribution engineering experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, use computers effectively, and write clearly and concisely.
• Valid Connecticut, Massachusetts, or New Hampshire driver’s license.
• Availability for emergency storm assignments, on-call responsibilities, and travel between MA, CT, and NH.

• Substation engineering or power systems experience.
