Financial Services Specialist

Location: On-site at 75 Steel City Ct, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 50,000–60,000 per year

What you will do

• Process invoices, settlements, payments, purchasing transactions, and other financial operations accurately and on time.
• Prepare and reconcile customer, vendor, billing, inventory, purchasing, and account records.
• Review purchase orders, pricing files, contracts, scale tickets, shipping documents, freight invoices, and brokerage records.
• Perform three-way matching, transaction verification, payment investigations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Generate and analyze reports covering transaction activity, inventory movements, payment trends, contract utilization, and operational metrics.
• Support month-end and year-end close, audits, master data maintenance, process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience in accounts payable, billing, settlements, purchasing, reconciliations, financial operations, or a related transactional finance role.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, payment processing, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling high volumes of financial and operational data.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency; ERP experience is an asset.
• Ability to communicate with a customer-service focus and work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
