Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney (House Counsel)

Location: Sacramento, California; hybrid schedule with the option to work from home 2 days per week

Salary: $152,590–$193,660 per year

What you will do

• Defend workers' compensation cases in Northern California.
• Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload.
• Handle negotiations, depositions, litigation, and trials.
• Collaborate on-site with adjusting staff.
• Train adjusting staff and provide one-on-one legal consultations.

Requirements

• JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• At least 10 years of experience defending workers' compensation cases in Northern California.
• Strong understanding of California workers' compensation law.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, deposition, and litigation skills.
• Recent trial experience.
