Secondary Curriculum Manager

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Salary: $70,000–$95,000 per year, plus performance bonus eligibility.

KIPP St. Louis is a public charter school network serving more than 2,000 students across elementary, middle, and high schools in St. Louis.

What you will do

• Lead secondary curriculum implementation across core high school content areas and strengthen vertical alignment across grades 6–12.
• Develop curriculum access systems, pacing guidance, assessment blueprints, and instructional resources aligned with Missouri standards and graduation requirements.
• Build and oversee assessment, progress monitoring, and Data Driven Instruction cycles supporting MAP, End-of-Course, AP, ACT, and college-readiness outcomes.
• Design and facilitate professional learning for school leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers.
• Conduct instructional walkthroughs and support lesson internalization, coaching conversations, student-work analysis, and responsive teaching.
• Analyze achievement data, feedback, walkthrough trends, and assessment results to recommend improvements across schools.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience with strong student outcomes.
• Experience leading curriculum implementation or instructional improvement initiatives.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional learning for adults and using student achievement data to guide decisions.
• Strong knowledge of secondary curriculum, assessment systems, instructional coaching, adolescent literacy, and secondary mathematics, science, and literacy pedagogy.
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects and develop leaders and teachers.
• Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching certification required.

Nice to have

• Experience as an instructional coach, assistant principal, or academic dean.
• Experience in high-performing schools or networks or across multiple schools or grade bands.
• Advanced degree in education, curriculum, leadership, or a related field.
