Associate Procurement Director (Printing & Specialty Packaging)

Location: Alpharetta, GA, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

Salary: $157,600–$316,700 in Zone A, $144,400–$290,300 in Zone B, or $131,300–$263,900 in Zone C, plus eligibility for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Develop and execute global procurement strategies for $350 million in printing and specialty packaging spend across 125 suppliers.
• Manage categories including corrugate shippers, displays, litho laminated boxes, folding cartons, labels, shrink sleeves, and paper bags.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships, conduct performance reviews, and ensure supply continuity, quality, delivery, ESG, and innovation commitments.
• Lead strategic sourcing, value engineering, supplier negotiations, and annual cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, analytics, and decision-support tools to improve procurement workflows and service delivery.
• Lead three direct reports and collaborate with R&D, packaging, marketing, manufacturing, finance, business units, and sustainability teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing packaging procurement categories in a CPG or manufacturing environment.
• Experience using AI tools, automation, analytics, or decision-support solutions to improve operational workflows.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder-influence skills, with experience building high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of supplier risk assessment, market intelligence, scenario planning, sustainable sourcing, and procurement systems such as SAP or Ariba.
