Senior Director, Category Management and Procurement Technology and AI (AI)

Salary: $206,500–$393,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Own global procurement strategies and portfolio execution for Technology categories, including AI and emerging platforms.
• Serve as the primary procurement partner and accountability point for Technology categories, aligning strategies with the Technology roadmap.
• Lead category management plans, complex programs, vendor relationships, contract management, risk management, and value delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, governance, systems integration, reporting, and change initiatives.
• Manage portfolio budgets, P&L accountability, financial performance tracking, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of category managers while transforming Technology Procurement capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in science, business, finance, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience; 5+ years in pharmaceutical or life sciences is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in Technology procurement and experience leading teams and complex category portfolios.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, global complexities, financial analysis, and value quantification.
• Experience with transformation initiatives and change management.
• Strong communication, influencing, strategic thinking, execution, and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• MBA or relevant MS or PhD degree.
• Professional certification in procurement, supply chain, or Six Sigma.
• Experience with Coupa, SAP, or Ariba procurement systems.
