Director – Strategic Sourcing (MRO)

What you will do

• Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies across a $500 million MRO portfolio, including materials, spare parts, components, consumables, facility services, and maintenance engineering services.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, e-auctions, negotiations, supplier selection, strategic agreements, and global sourcing initiatives.
• Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvements, inventory optimization, supplier consolidation, VMI, and consignment programs.
• Manage strategic relationships with distributors, OEMs, service providers, contractors, and engineering partners.
• Establish supplier performance management, corrective actions, continuity planning, and risk mitigation programs.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, EHS, Legal, and plant leadership to improve reliability, uptime, procurement ROI, and governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive procurement and sourcing experience, including large and complex portfolios preferably exceeding $200 million in annual spend.
• Extensive experience sourcing MRO materials, maintenance engineering services, industrial service contracts, capital equipment support, and spare parts.
• Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Strong financial, analytical, contract management, and supplier performance skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, metals, aerospace, energy, chemical, or heavy-industry environments.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• CPSM, CPM, or CSCP certification.
• Experience with SAP, Coupa, Ariba, Oracle, or other large-scale procurement and ERP platforms.
• Experience leading global sourcing initiatives and supplier transformation programs.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, asset management, and maintenance operations.
