What you will do

  • Lead and develop Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors, including goal setting, performance reviews, training, and workload distribution.
  • Own quality performance for the assigned value stream by analyzing trends, resolving systemic issues, and reducing defects and variation.
  • Represent Quality in customer, regulatory, and internal audits; review audit responses and ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Serve as the primary Quality contact for customers and support supplier visits and audits.
  • Support programs from proposal through shipment by reviewing drawings, approving inspection plans, and participating in PDRs, CDRs, FMEAs, and risk reviews.
  • Represent Quality in change and review boards and assess the impact of changes on production and in-process products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications and develop quality plans.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems, corrective and preventive action, audits, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Full-time onsite work in Simsbury, Connecticut is required.

Nice to have

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience with aerospace or defense quality systems.
  • Experience supporting new product development.
