Managing Director Of Project Management (Project Management)

Location: Onsite in the Chicago office, United States. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $166,233–$180,000 annually, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic growth of the Development Services platform and the owner representation and project management business.
• Manage all phases of commercial real estate projects, including design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budgets.
• Coordinate sales opportunities, marketing plans, proposals, and workload allocation across ground-up, tenant improvement, and third-party projects.
• Prepare preliminary program studies and development due diligence studies for acquisitions and new developments.
• Coordinate stakeholders to establish hard and soft costs, project budgets, and schedules.
• Lead project teams, client meetings, reporting, performance management, hiring, coaching, and collaboration with contractors and external partners.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in project management, architecture, construction management, cost estimating, or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and commercial development or construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of financial terms, budgeting, forecasting, and complex business analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex business documents, prepare reports, respond to sensitive client issues, and deliver presentations.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and the ability to read architectural drawings; knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices is preferred.
