Loss Control Specialist (Onsite)

What you will do

• Establish and review client safety and accident prevention programs.
• Conduct onsite and virtual safety assessments, identify hazards, evaluate risk exposures, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze injury trends, loss runs, and incident data to identify recurring causes and loss reduction opportunities.
• Develop safety action plans, reports, resources, toolkits, and training materials for client companies.
• Deliver onsite and virtual safety training and investigate serious employee accidents using root cause analysis.
• Monitor corrective actions and collaborate with Claims Management Specialists on loss prevention strategies and claims reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and four to ten years of related experience.
• Strong analytical, deductive reasoning, judgment, planning, communication, customer service, and training skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices.
• Certifications or qualifications including safety investigation training, CPR/First Aid/AED instructor certification, American Society of Safety Engineers safety certification, and Texas Department of Insurance Field Safety Representative certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, stand during meetings and group events, and lift 10–20 pounds.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10- and OSHA 30-hour certifications in construction and general industry.
• Completion of OSHA 510 and OSHA 511 trainer courses.
